Acid Rain
Acid Rain is rain that contains more acid then normal. Some causes are the burning of coal that contains a lot of sulfur oxides substances composed of oxygen and sulfur. Another cause is when nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides combine with water in the air to form nitric acid and sulfuric acid. A few consequences are one, it can sometimes be strong enough to damage the surface of buildings and statues. Also it harms lakes and ponds. It can make water so acidic that plants, amphibians, fish , and insects can no longer survive in it. Some solutions to this problem are maybe don't burn as much coal. That is acid rain.

Jordan, you have a very well written paragraph about acid rain. I learned a lot form it. London-Type Smog and acid rain are very different in many ways, one is that smog if it gets to dense it can become poisonous.Another way is that it can cause a lot of different consequences such as the spread of cancer and it can cause heart and lung problems. That is how London-Type Smog is different form Acid Rain.
hey,
nice paragraph on acid rain.me, i forgot to add a picture. that gave me alot of info..
You did a cool post. Mine was about London Type Smog. Pretty much the only difference was that acid rain harms buildings and lakes. The whole thing about sulfuric acid from burning coal and water particles mixing was exactly the same on both pollutants. So anyway...... good job!!!! :)
